Artwork & Design FAQ

File formats, proofs, resolution, and design support.

What file formats do you accept for artwork?

We prefer vector files — AI, EPS, or PDF with outlined fonts. High-resolution PNG or PSD files are also acceptable for photographic or complex designs.

What resolution should my images be?

For any raster (photo-based) artwork, please supply files at 300 DPI at final print size. Low-resolution web images (72 DPI) will not reproduce clearly at full mat size.

Do you protect customer artwork and confidential information?

Yes. Customer artwork and project information are treated confidentially and used only for the approved production process. We sign NDAs when required, never reuse or resell client artwork, and keep all files private.

Do you offer free digital proofs before production?

Yes. Every order includes a free digital proof for your approval before production begins, so you can confirm layout, color, and sizing are correct.

Can you create or clean up artwork for me if I don't have a print-ready file?

Yes, our design team can redraw logos, adjust layouts, or build print-ready artwork from a low-resolution logo or rough concept. This may carry a small design fee depending on the complexity — ask when requesting your quote.

What is "bleed" and do I need to include it in my file?

Bleed is extra artwork extending past the final cut line, so there's no white edge if the cut shifts slightly during production. If you're supplying your own print file, we'll advise the exact bleed amount for your chosen size and shape.

Is there a "safe area" I should keep text and logos inside?

Yes — for shaped or edge-trimmed mats, keep important text and logo elements a safe margin inside the cut line to avoid any risk of trimming into your design. We'll flag this on your digital proof if anything is too close to the edge.

Can I see a physical printed proof, not just a digital one?

A physical pre-production sample can be arranged for large or first-time orders, in addition to the standard digital proof — ask your sales contact to confirm feasibility and cost for your order.

How many rounds of proof revisions are included?

One round included free; additional changes may incur a small fee. We won't move to production until you've approved the final proof in writing.

Can you help with packaging design, not just the mat artwork?

Custom packaging design and printing is offered, including retail-ready packaging for distributors. Additional design changes may incur a small fee.
